You lot really gain a sense of appreciation for the ridiculous amount of piece of work that went into making FFXV.

This is a pretty gorgeous book. The presentation lonely makes it a adept purchase. However I found that there was petty talk about the world and it focused more on the early portions of the game and the Kingsglave film.

Existent gorgeous volume

Summit quality fine art book, looks slap-up on brandish too. Every folio is vibrant and if you lot're a fan of the game (or video game art in general), you'll really enjoy information technology. Top quality art volume, looks smashing on brandish too. Every page is vibrant and if you're a fan of the game (or video game fine art in full general), you'll really enjoy it. ...more

Content:
The start of the book provides an outline of the story.
The introduction contains insight from the developers, and that's near it. The remainder of the artbook contains artwork and CG stills.
As for the concept art - in that location isn't much, so you lot don't go to run into how the design elements came to exist.
Most of the artworks are just CG stills from the game. Graphic symbol fine art are all final CG-renders.
Macguffins and plot device items (fine art assets) are given close-ups to prove off all their CG-glory.

The start of the volume provides an outline of the story.

Every bit for the concept fine art - there isn't much, so you lot don't go to run across how the blueprint elements came to exist.
Most of the artworks are but CG stills from the game. Character art are all final CG-renders.
Macguffins and plot device items (art assets) are given shut-ups to testify off all their CG-glory.
While impressive, it'southward non what I want in an artbook. I'd similar to come across proper concept sketches and blueprint options that play into creating the terminal product.
At that place are almost no monster concept fine art in this. Sad.
In that location are a few landscape stills but it either wasn't enough, or wasn't really anything to write home about.
It'due south 95% full page artwork, no descriptions-aught else from the artists and developers who worked on the game to provide their thought-process. Only the intro had the developers explained how they updated the leviathan design.

Nearly half the book is defended to KINGSLAIVE, and Crowe. Crowe gets three whole folio spreads while the other protagonists of the game (also Noctis) don't go their own pages - any images containing Noctis' boys are all just CG group stills. Lunafreya/Lunafrena gets featured more than than any other character in the game and film.

I'one thousand but wondering what was going through their heads during content selection for this 'artbook'.

Unique features in this volume are the recipes, accompanied by images of nutrient. Layouts in the book are pretty unique with the half-pages and the transparent sheets for overlays. This artbook is the literal apotheosis of style over substance.

All in all, disappointing as in that location wasn't enough content on the chief game, especially when the proper name of this book is 'FINAL FANTASY Xv'.
