Kanye West is an outspoken artist who has never shyed away from voicing his opinion against naysayers, even if it would get him in trouble. The Graduation rapper has a long list of enemies and frenemies throughout the course of his career, and some of the reasons for the beef sound a little too petty. It doesn't matter if you're one of the biggest artists on the planet, like Drake, or a character of a children's cartoon, like Peppa Pig, no one was safe from Ye's verbal outbursts—or vice versa.

These are some of the most senseless, but significant feuds the "Gold Digger" rapper has had in recent years and an explaination why they happened. After all, it is Kanye West we're talking about - the genius and the center of controversy who's afraid of nobody and won't back down for anybody.

6 Kanye West Vs. Drake

Kanye West and Drake were once friends and long-time collaborators, but things got murky for the duo after Kanye reportedly produced Pusha T's "Infrared" single in 2018, which contains lyrical jabs at the Canadian rapper. For the record, Pusha is signed to Kanye West's GOOD Music record label.

Since then, the two biggest creative brains in hip-hop have been exchanging words and jabs at each other through songs, interviews, and public moments. Drake accused Kanye of leaking the information of his son Adonis which Pusha uses in his anti-Drake diss track "The Story of Adidon." In return, Kanye reignited the beef with a subtle call out in the track "One Dance" on DONDA. The good thing is, things seem to have cooled down for now as they performed together during the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert.

5 Kanye West Vs. Jay-Z

Isn't it ironic how things went from "brothers" to "Kill Jay-Z" between the two? Kanye's beef with Jay-Z started all the way back in the early 2000s. At the time, Kanye, who produced some of the tracks from Jay's The Blueprint album, wanted to be seen as a rapper rather than just a producer. Jay was hesitant to sign him as Kanye wasn't "gangsta" enough to appeal to the audience, as it was a mainstream persona in hip-hop at the time.

Kanye proved him wrong and managed to sell millions of records thanks to his first three albums, but their fallout began when Jay and Beyoncé failed to attend Kanye and Kim Kardashian's wedding in 2014. According to Ye, Jay wasn't even offering support during the "hour of need" of the pair after Kim was robbed in Paris. Ye had several public outings during the Saint Pablo tour and later pulled out his music from Jay's TIDAL platform.

4 Kanye West Vs. Taylor Swift

Kanye West's infamous public outburst at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards where he snatched the mic from Taylor Swift sparked a worldwide outrage against him. Taylor, who won the Best Video for "You Belong With Me," cried backstage with Beyoncé. Kanye shortly left the building after the audience booed him, and his planned joint tour with Lady Gaga was subsequently canceled. He, then, took a break from his career while Taylor continued becoming one of the best-selling artists of all time.

3 Kanye West Vs. Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars came home with two trophies for the Best Choreography for "Treasure" and the Best Male Video for "Locked Out of Heaven" at the 2013 MTV VMAs, but Ye didn't seem to be pleased. He claimed that the singer won the award because he was just "the prettiest motherf***er out" during an interview.

"I won one award! But he was right about the pretty part. It's Kanye – bottom line, at the end of the day, we need Kanye. But what he said wasn't a sting. You can come at me all you want – I've set myself up for that. But I am my own biggest critic. Whatever anyone says to me, they don't know s**t," Bruno told Rolling Stones, revealing that the rapper has apologized to him on the phone in person.

2 Kanye West Vs. 50 Cent

Kanye challenged 50 Cent, who was arguably one of the biggest rappers at the time, for a power sales showdown in 2007. The two rappers released their respective albums, Graduation and Curtis, on the same date, and the result is a symbolic shift in hip-hop's overall cultural aesthetic. Although there wasn't any animosity shared between the two, the infamous "sales feud" was a historic moment in hip-hop and will always be celebrated as such. Graduation moved 957,000 units while Curtis made 691,000, making history as the first two artists that sold over 600,000 units in the same week since 1991.

1 Kanye West Vs. Big Sean

Big Sean is one of the earliest acts that Kanye signed to his GOOD Music venture, and he was the Late Registration rapper's protege. So, how did this feud come across? Kanye had some words for the Detroit rapper during his recent appearance on the Drink Champs show, saying that the "worst thing" he's ever done was signing Big Sean to his label. However, Sean quickly shut down all possible rumors of the feud by posting two backstage pictures of the interview on Twitter.

"I love Kanye, bro. I love him for the opportunity he gave me and all these things. But I thought what he said was on some b***h-a** shit. And I thought that wasn't godly. It was a personal attack for no reason and he ain't have to do all that," Sean said during his own appearance on the Drinks Champ podcast.
